Every summer we love Chambray pieces, but this time we’re excited to introduce them in TENCEL fabric! So, what’s the hype regarding TENCEL? First and foremost it’s the most lovely fabric to wear. TENCEL has a supreme quality feel and drape that really is the first key advantage. The fine fibres made from wood pulp, make it super soft and comfortable against the skin and they say TENCEL is actually twice as soft as cotton, although it it still classed as a robust and durable fabric. It is also 100% biodegradable if that is of concern to you. TENCEL is also perfect for hot weather—super breathable, keeping you fresh and cool on the hottest days of summer and odour resistant too. TENCEL actually has the ability to absorb 50% more moisture than cotton, making it ideal for the summer days ahead.

This season, our TENCEL Chambray comes in both light and dark indigo. Honestly I have always loved the colour of Chambray. That gorgeous denim blue gives the casualness that we often are drawn to in the summer, and it’s such a colour that can be easily added to any bright or classic colours of the summer. Think Chambray with the likes of bright, summery colours like coral, orange, pink, yellow, apple green, or aqua for a true burst of summer style. Or, go for classics like olive green, navy, browns, tans and even black looks cool and of course you can’t go past simple fresh and classic white. Even your favourite pattern or stripe pairs well.

I just love Chambray! As a fashion colour, it has an immediate relaxed vibe. Our TENCEL Chambray range includes easy wear tops that tuck perfectly into the matching skirt or pants.
